fog and fall

The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbour and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
"Fog" - Carl Sandburg

I love so many aspects of fog, despite the bone-chilling effect it can have. My favourite passage about fog is from Dickens' Bleak House:http://dickens.ucsc.edu/searchworks/BleakHouse/BH1.html

Thanks for dropping by so faithfully, all of you! Fogs create some interesting moods, and Dickens really played that up - thanks for the link, Olga!

How good to see that poem by Carl Sandburg which I haven't read for at least 50 years! It used to be a favourite.
