on the Hornby ferry

These interesting textures and colours caught my eye on the ferry to Hornby Island on our recent trip, an addition to these and these ferry pics.

Never mind about the attractive textures - that first one looks like a worn area that's about to become a hole. You do know what happens when boats get holes in them, don't you, M-L?

These photos have such a wonderful "wintry" air about them, along with a great sense of mystery, especially in the first one.

Ha! Thanks for the morning wake-up chuckle, BB! When I was taking all these photos of details on the ferries, Fred wondered if the ferry operators might think I was a spy or worse. Now your words could *really* make them think that! All for the sake of art, hee.
Maria! Interesting comment - I do see what you mean by 'wintry' now that you mention it. Isn't it amazing how we perceive these details when taken out of the larger context?
