Never mind about the attractive textures - that first one looks like a worn area that's about to become a hole. You do know what happens when boats get holes in them, don't you, M-L?

These photos have such a wonderful "wintry" air about them, along with a great sense of mystery, especially in the first one.

Ha! Thanks for the morning wake-up chuckle, BB! When I was taking all these photos of details on the ferries, Fred wondered if the ferry operators might think I was a spy or worse. Now your words could *really* make them think that! All for the sake of art, hee.

Maria! Interesting comment - I do see what you mean by 'wintry' now that you mention it. Isn't it amazing how we perceive these details when taken out of the larger context?
