reflected views

As I go about my work around the house this rainy day, I stop for quick breaks at my desk to check on messages, news and a few blogs. In a pensive moment, my eyes lifted up to the art work above this screen and was struck by the reflection in the glass. Seeing a familiar view in a different way from a less familiar angle has made me pause with renewed deep appreciation for the beauty around me. A reminder in a busy day to pause, ponder and reflect.

What is the view like from your desk?

not much of a view from mine, but wow, that's really neat! I always liked reflected views.

one day I looked up the stairs in here upside down, and it looked really cool.

Thanks, Erika. Yes, it's an eye-opener to see something the opoosite of how you're used to seeing it.

What a lovely workspace. Love the reflection of your garden. I have posted the view from my desk before (I think there was a meme a long time back.) Today it's very very messy!

Leslee, thank you, I spend a lot of time here and find it very pleasant. That's important, isn't it? I remember participating in that meme too.

Hey, you have a webcam. I had one for my birthday. You don't subscibe to Skype, by any chance do you? We could have a chat.

Anna, yes that's a webcam or iSight, and I have iChat with Skype. My husband is a keen Skyper. It's wonderful to chat with our daughter and grandchildren who are presently in the UK. We should try it!

indeed, a nice work space and neat computer!
I wish I were artistic instead of just plain chatty!

Mouse - thank you. But you are very creative, look at your lovely home, your cooking and even your writing! Wish I were more chatty and could type faster:-)
