fruit or nut?
The magnolia tree is in its second though lighter bloom.
While pruning some of it I found this odd cluster.
Is it fruit, nut, seedpod or aberration?

It looks as if some bug bit it.

It looks like the wondrous result of indecision.

Hi Marja-Leena! I'm super busy with travel preparations right now, but I wanted you to know that I will leave for a three week trip to Vancouver tomorrow. Is there any chance that we can meet up? Is there a contact email address I can write to? Hope we can have a chance to finally meet!

Hattie, maybe, and perhaps it's gone inside and laid some eggs into those pod or nut like shapes.
Olga, nature can be indecisive at times.
Miguel, how exciting. I look forward to meeting you at last. This certainly has been THE year to meet many blog friends. (I emailed you my contact info.)
Rouchswalwe, it is nature's art anyway.
Bee, I think I know what you are thinking, heh!

I see it as a goddess being born. Where else could they come from?

Susan, I like that!
