weekend walks

A mostly sunny and pleasant spring weekend tempted us out for some long walks accompanied by the camera. Here are just a few highlights...

I'm very sorry to hear that Canadians in the east and Americans in the northeast have been having miserable rain or snow storms. This is not an intent to gloat but to send spring your way!

We are having summer weather here and yesterday went to the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Wisley where so many different plants are in bloom which are not normally seen out together. I absolutely love your female tree stump, and wonder if I might please use her as a basis for a drawing? Those rocks are beautiful too.

Beautiful photos, Marja-Leena. I'll enjoy them as a virtual taste of spring. (The bottom one looks like Venus de Milo.)

Olga and Leslee, thanks. Olga, I'd heard of Europe's extra warm weather! We're colder than normal here, with some warmer days now and then. By all means you may use this for a drawing - if you'll show it to me! My husband took lots of photos of this from different angles, some look like faces, and some like Venus de Milo, as you pointed out, Leslee. I didn't show the ones with all the freshly cut pieces at its base. If you wish, I could email some larger photos to you, Olga.

Thanks, this pic you have published is fine. Yes, I'll let you see what it inspires.

That's a rockin' stump!

Dave, I knew you'd like this one!
