hand with tissue
One idea leads to another as I play with the scanner. I find myself returning to the idea of a series of smaller prints of images of hands with objects, like these ones. When and if I have enough of a collection, I may print these with my home printer.
As many readers know, I have done numerous ‘hand’ images on this blog. Some became a series of large prints in the HANDS series which I finished last year. These may be most quickly seen all together in the gallery if you have not already seen them.

This is by far my favorite of your hand series. A desert Bedouin – a sandstorm covering his face with sand and blowing his robes and headcover into the wind. He is peacefully resting at an oasis, sipping water with his hands.
Ellena! What an amazing vision you see here, just amazing! It is always a lovely surprise what others see in some of my stranger work. You have given me joy today, thank you.
Ellena’s is a wonderful description that I saw clearly too when I looked again at the scan. Your hand series has been very nice and I hope you can make them in hard copy form.
Susan, thank you for your always supportive and appreciative comments! Now I just need some distraction free time to keep on working on these ideas.
Like clouds, the tissue pieces all seem to contain figures… (And this is, no doubt, Miss Havisham’s wedding hankie!)
Marly, a wedding hankie sounds good to me and looks like it held many tears, of happiness hopefully.
All right, then, we’ll give it to somebody other than Miss H…
Her hopes did not work out, did they? Tears of sadness instead.
